SUMMARY:Making It Work: Using AI & Digital Tools to Support an ADHD Brain
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Sheila Lord: for ADHD UK’s Network \nNew to an ADHD diagnosis and navigating the messy middle of menopause and imposter syndrome\, Sheila shares how she’s found practical ways to use AI and everyday digital tools to reduce overwhelm and keep things moving. \nFrom using her inbox as a to-do list\, to relying on ChatGPT when her brain freezes\, this session is a candid\, real-world look at how small tech tweaks and a few well-loved notebooks can turn chaos into clarity and how sometimes it’s ok to take a break and recognise when to walk away for a little while. \nWe receive no government funds. Fundraising is extremely difficult because of the economic climate and because of the discrimination and stigma that means many can’t be out and ask for fundraising sponsorship. That means any donation you give is extremely valued and is the only way we can do the work we do. \nWe ask for a donation regardless of size. SUMMARY:ADHD & Recovery from Burnout with Kaye Heyes
DESCRIPTION:Join ADHD coach and facilitator Kaye Heyes for a monthly 60-minute group exploring what recovery and renewal can look like for ADHD minds and bodies. \nAlthough burnout is a common experience for people with ADHD and/or austism\, it’s not well understood. Neurodivergent burnout takes so much more than rest to fix. It encompasses sensory overwhelm\, emotional numbness\, decision fatigue\, and losing touch with motivation and confidence. \nKaye’s group offers understanding\, connection\, and hope and she facilitates a space to gently recover your energy\, agency\, and self-trust. Because burnout isn’t just about rest\, it’s about how we relate to ourselves as we rebuild. We need community to heal and recover. \nEach month\, we’ll explore a different theme from Kaye’s WayPower framework for sustainable wellbeing. WayPower helps you move beyond “willpower” to find practical\, compassionate ways to navigate life with ADHD/AuDHD. It brings together neuroscience\, somatic awareness\, and positive psychology to support recovery that lasts. \nSessions will combine gentle education\, guided reflection\, body-based awareness\, and peer conversation. You’ll learn to notice your natural rhythms\, respond to your nervous system\, and reconnect with the sources of energy\, purpose\, and creativity that make life feel rich again. \nAbout Kaye Heyes\nKaye Heyes is an AuDHD coach\, supervisor\, facilitator\, positive psychology practitioner\, master NLP practitioner and certified Focusing practitioner. She specialises in helping late-diagnosed adults recover their sense of agency and self-trust by blending neuroscience\, embodiment\, and strengths-based coaching. As a single parent to two neurodivergent teens\, she brings lived experience\, warmth\, and authenticity to her work. She knows that burnout recovery is not about bouncing back with willpower\, but coming home to yourself with WayPower. SUMMARY:Focus Like a Laser Beam: Regulate Your Attention With ADHD Hypnosis - with Jamie Vasilyan
DESCRIPTION:People with ADHD are often told they have an attention deficit—yet anyone with ADHD knows it is not a lack of attention\, but an inconsistency of attention. Some days we hyperfocus. Other days we focus on everything except the thing we are meant to do. A more accurate term is attentional variability or attentional dysregulation. \nThis workshop reframes distraction as a design feature\, not a flaw. You may not always control your ADHD Race Car Brain\, but you can learn to guide it back onto the track and get moving again\, more efficiently than before. \nWhat we will cover: \n\nWhy ADHD attention fluctuates (neuroscience explanation in plain language).\nHow to work with your attention instead of fighting it.\nLive demonstration of HART: Hypnotic Attention Recovery Technique\, a simple\, rapid method for recovering focus when the mind drifts.\nGroup discussion: What pulls your attention off-track\, and how do others manage it?\n\nTogether\, by pooling our experience and strength of “out of the box” creativity\, we will brainstorm solutions together! You will leave with a practical strategy that you can use immediately after the session—no willpower required. Even 1p. With a suggested donation of £5.\n \nIf you are not in a position to donate then we still want to welcome you and have you attend. Simply put in the suggested donation and place the tickets in your basket\, generate your coupon here\, and use the coupon to 100% discount the basket. \nWE ARE HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE DONATION SYSTEM. SUMMARY:Guided ADHD-Aware Mindfulness Meditation with Carolyn Pallon
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an hour guided meditation run by Carolyn Pallon Mindfulness teacher and Clinical Psychologist who has taught Mindfulness for many years in the NHS and beyond. A chance to learn how our minds work\, how even the worlds most revered meditators don’t stop ‘thoughts’\, but learn ways to tune into something more reliable and trustworthy beneath them. \nCarolyn has a late ADHD discovery herself and knows first hand the added stress and exhaustion that can come from trying to fit into an environment that doesn’t suit. The added pressure and often accompanying years of negative comments that those with ADHD experience can lead to higher stress levels\, and lower self esteem. Listening to a guided deep rest mediation can be invaluable for our self care as well as a compassionate way to bring some much needed ease to our often over stimulated nervous systems. \nJust join\, listen\, rest\, reset. Nothing else required. \nDue to the session beginning promptly\, and to maintain a calm and uninterrupted environment for all attendees\, entry will not be permitted after 10:10.
